Empowering Participants with New Skills: TAFE NSW Cleaning Operations Course Begins

We are thrilled to announce that 15 enthusiastic participants from our NDIS Employment and Employment Services program have embarked on an “Introduction to Cleaning Operations” course at TAFE NSW. This dynamic 6-week program, offered twice a week at Mai-Wel Enterprises, is crafted to equip participants with the essential theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to thrive in the cleaning industry.

The course offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers crucial areas such as safety protocols, effective teamwork, adherence to industry standards, and the execution of cleaning and maintenance tasks in commercial settings. Participants will also gain expertise in proper manual handling techniques, safe chemical storage and use, and the selection of appropriate equipment for various cleaning tasks.

This training is more than just a learning opportunity; it’s a gateway to enhancing employability and opening doors to upskilling and transitional employment opportunities. The hands-on experience and industry-specific knowledge gained through this course are designed to empower participants to pursue meaningful careers in the cleaning sector, fostering a sense of achievement and independence.
